How did you get into art?

I started with caricatures at school, progressed to art for movies and advertisings in high school, then cover design for  official magazines in Iran. Then I left them all and started on my own in 2000.

How do you get inspiration for the pieces you produce?

Very easily, ,just thinking about everyday life and news. Google image search is a favorite way of surfing for images too.

What has been your best creation to date?

I really don't like them! Believe me.

How much do you think hype affects the public perception of what good art is?

What is hype? :-)

What do you mean by the term Hype, please?

How big is the street art scene in Iran?

I think it is just being born, it is not very complex yet.
There are currently about 10 active street artists. So far I have recognised the work of around 20 street artists in Tehran.

Last CD you bought/downloaded/shoplifted?

The Tiger Lillies.

One of my friends, Arman, gave it to me and i really appreciate his taste in music.

How did you feel when you realised that art could make you some money?

I see that loneliness is real.
I feel I am a child when I think to money and selling.

Why do so many people spend money on music yet so few buy art?

It is about the difference between "Industry of Culture" and "Culture".
I mean the difference between "entertainment" and "Art".
The price they should pay for art is more than they pay for mass produced entertainment. Both in material and emotional aspects. So it's easier to buy a music release or a post card rather to purchase unique art piece or poem.

Friendship, believing in each other and being off limits in life.

What makes you sad?

Lies, Pop culture & Big Media.

Hemp, Rock and Hop of course.

What is the local reaction to your work?

Some like it, some puffed it, some took photos, some imitate it. No matter.

Last book you read?

L'Empire Des Signes by Roland Barthes.  Persian translation.

I like my enemies in Tehran.

What time did you get up?

5 to 8 am.

8 times but not for graffiti.
