How did you get into art?
Studied it at school, doodled through it at college and started trying to make it sometime after.
How do you get inspiration for the pieces you produce?
A lot of inspiration comes from looking at other artists and designers and from, well, anywhere really. It all depends on how you look and things.
What has been your best creation to date?
I'm not sure about best but I felt the hotel room I doodled over was a solid piece of work.
How did you feel when you realised that art could earn you a living?
I don't think I've realised that, I just hope I can keep it going for as long as possible. Not having to have a 'proper' job is great though, I feel lucky everyday I don't have to go to work somewhere.
How much do you think hype affects the public perception of what good art is?
Depends on the art. I have no real handle on what the public thinks of art. Actually I think most members of the public hate art and think it's a waste of money.
Whats your favourite soup?
Presently it's leek and potato.
Last CD you bought/downloaded/shoplifted?
I downloaded a load of music by someone called Nullsleep, it's all made with Gameboys and NES's, nice and bleep bloppy geeky.
What make you happy?
8-bit computer game music and Tex Avery cartoons.
What makes you sad?
Needless wars.
Sex, drugs or rock n roll?
Can't you have all three, they do all sort of work quite nicely together.
Last book you read?
Arthur & George by Julian Barnes.
What time did you get up this morning?
08:31
Tell us a secret?
I have nothing interesting to tell, plus if I tell you my secret no-one will ever tell me a secret again.
What else do like other than art?
Cakes, tea, walks in the park and patting llamas.
Any regrets?
I've had a few... One was buying a Frank Sinartra CD many years ago. I never ever listen to it and also I've come to hate Sinartra, horrible fellow that he was.
Final thoughts...
My mind is a blank piece of paper, with someone else's shopping list on the back...
