How did you get into art?

I've always been arty. I loved art at school, drawing & painting at home. By collecting vinyl toys I got into plush, then tried my hand at making my own.

How do you get inspiration for the pieces you produce?

Nothing in particular really, everyday things, a thought, a colour, a certain material. I do sometime get good ideas when im trying to get to sleep though, so I have to get up and write them down! a bit annoying that!

What has been your best creation to date?

I always am most happy with my most recent plush so it would be my 'dino' plush i created for a charity auction. It's also my biggest plush so far, I was able to sew him with me super duper machine of sewing (sewing machine)! Woot, I was happy I didn't mess him up, phew!

Last CD you bought/downloaded/shoplifted?

The field 'from here we go sublime' on kompakt. I dont buy nearly enough cds or vinyl now, downloads are so much easier.

How did you feel when you realised that art could make you some money?

Happy ...oh & confused that people wanted to actually buy my stuff!!

Why do so many people spend money on music yet so few buy art?

I really dont know, personally i'm beginning to spend more money on art and one off pieces. You have to think about the time and effort an artist has put into making their work. When you think crappy mass produced prints from unnamed stores can cost a fair bit too.. go buy something original!

How does it feel to be interviewed?

Silly.

Describe your ideal day?

Something stress & work free!!!................

A nice lie in.
A trip to the beach on a lovely sunny but not too hot day.
Taking pics of my surroundings.
A little bit of shopping (of course!).
Something scrummy to eat.

Sex, drugs or rock n roll?

Pass..... ok, maybe just the sex please. Some nice techno/house moosic too please in place of the R n R. You keep the drugs (I may need 2 Aspirin if I get a headache though).

Last book you read?

Jeremyville: sessions. Not so much read as looked at the nice photies! haha!

Most treasured possession?

Hmm, thats a a hard  one. I amsuch a sentimental fool, I hang on to things for the sillyest reasons. Probably random stuff from growing up.

Last time you lied?

Not in this interview.....honest!

What's your favourite film?

80's classic The Goonies!!! Such a feelgood film.

Is there a downside to being so talented?

I wouldn't know.

Possibly, I think everyone has regrets, but what can you do, you cant change the past. You learn by your mistakes & grow.
