I am reliably informed by my splendid website monitoring software that Underspray.com has now recieved over 1 million hits since its launch back in December 2006. Is this cause for celebration? Probably. Do I actually know what a hit is? No. Anyway, we've cracked open the Veuve Clicquot here at Underspray headquarters and are celebrating wildly! Here's to everyone who's been so kind to do an interview for us, left a comment, or simply checks out the site from time to time.

Enough idle banter, on to the update. Five new superstars have been inducted into the Underspray hall of fame this time around and i've asked them all for handprints. We've had stopovers in Finland, Spain and the UK in the last two weeks and have harvested some of the freshest talent around for your viewing pleasure. This visual smorgasbord includes vector graphics and fruit related phobias, photoshop wizardry, cardboard boxes, skateboards and some great badges. Please go check these guys out and if you want to show your appreciation, leave a comment or two.

It's not often I get excited about an update but this one has proven to be one of my favourites, I hope you enjoy it too!

Here we go again, two more weeks pass by and with impressive efficiency we drop another update for your viewing pleasure.

I am pleased to welcome five new artists to the Underspray family, this time around we travel to Brazil, USA, Singapore and the UK to delve into the minds of these fine folk. This update provides another fresh display of artistic talents which includes graffiti, vinyl toys, illustration and some particularly distrurbing photo manipulation directly from the lower pits of hell!

The quality and diversity of the work submitted by the featured artists continues to amaze me and is what makes all of the hard work worthwhile.

I've given the site layout a little tweak this time around and added some little thumbnail images over there on the left to make it less of a lucky dip. There are a few T shirts left in limited sizes so best to email first to avoid disappointment.

April Fool! - Underspray.com is not closing down!

"It is with great sadness that I am forced to announce the permanent closure of Underspray.com. The rising cost of bandwidth, my upcoming court case and my growing involvement in the Judeans People's Front mean I no longer have the time or means to run the site. Therefore this is the last of the site updates."

Lies and deceipt! And my twisted sense of humour. Bandwidth is not a problem, there is no court case and the JPF was a Monty Python reference. To everyone who reacted to this mornings site update you have my sincere apologies, I simply couldn't resist.

I was quickly in receipt of numerous emails, offers of help and kind words. Which made me feel even more guilty as I laughed myself silly. To those of you that sussed me out straight away, well done. To the others, got ya!!

Just two weeks since the last update and boy have I been busy! Five new artists have joined the underspray family bringing with them a healthy dose of diversity which we have come to love so much. This update sees us with stopovers in Italy, USA, UK and Singapore hooking up with some great new artists and we also have a new written piece for the articles section. Submissions to the articles section are always welcome so grab and pen and write something art related.

At long last, the limited edition Underspray T shirts and stickers have finally dropped and they were well worth the wait. All proceeds will be either ploughed back into Underspray.com or used to buy stuff for me, so whatever happens its a worthwhile cause! Click sell out! to check out this dope new merchandise of which I speak, you could even buy one. I'm wearing one right new and I have to say they are rather splendid.

As we roll up to your kerb in a blacked out limo, step up and enjoy some of what we have got. Just like your dealer, we hit your neighbourhood and tempt you with more of exactly what you need.

Another huge dose of visual stimulation this month so roll up your sleeve and find a vein, you're going to love this and it won't hurt a bit...

This time around we offer a selection of choice narcotics carried through customs by the fearless Mr. Burrows from Italy, Portugal, Denmark, UK, Brazil, USA and Sinagapore. Trafficking is a risky business these days, but for such a sick selection of diverse styles, well worth the risk. This update includes uppers, downers, digital art, animation, mixed media, stickers, graffiti, kicks, tattoos, and a biro wielding genius/madman. This will surely be enough of a fix to keep you all buzzing until dawn.

In other news and by popular demand the first run of the rather lovely Underspray.com t-shirts and stickers are now in the pipeline. More details of this and other dope merchandise in the coming weeks.

A huge thank you for everyone who continues to support Underspray, especially the artists who give freely of their time and artwork, it's much appreciated.

Monster site update

Another month rolls by so it’s time for us to throwdown the latest site update, and this time we be bringing it, check this, it’s HUGE!

In the last 4 weeks we have got together up with no less than ten creative individuals from around the world and this update sees us hooking up with our hombres from Holland, Iran, Singapore, UK and the USA. 

Don’t worry, here at underpspray we leave no carbon footprints, our emissions are minimal thanks to the power of the interweb.

Once more we offer you a huge range of styles for your viewing pleasure, two generations of artists in the same family, tattoo art, the introduction of a new articles section, the invasion of the b3tans, street art, digital art, amazing toys and much more besides mean that this update is well worth checking out.

I hope the first update of new year finds you all well at eager for new artists to check out. All futures updates willnow be down on a monthly basis around the middle of the month dependent on other commitments and the apathy of the artists contacted!

Again, a fantastic diversity of styles which is what a love so much about this project, every time a new artist is interviewed you just dont know what you're going to get.

Underspray.com officially launches

I am extremely pleased to announce the official launch of Underspray.com, it's been 9 months of blood, sweat and tears but its finally ready.

Underspray.com has only been made possible by the generosity of the featured artists. I know how busy you all must be and I really appreciate the fact that you took the time and effort to do the interviews and provide the images.

Because of the way underspray.com works, each artist interviewed is asked to nominate the next interviewee. This means the site grows organically and takes it own direction, I am very happy with the way it has grown and have been introduced to new artistic styles and approaches and for that I am truly thankful.

Big thank you for the site design to Gavin from the Jam Factory and to Zoe for ferrying in cups of tea on a regular basis.

Katie arrives finally

Completely unrelated to the website but worthy of a post non the less!

At 00:57 this morning my wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who we have named Katie Jayne. Mother and baby are both doing very well and Dad is over the moon.

Katie weighed in at 8lb 8oz and was fashionably late finally making an appearance 2 weeks overdue after a lot of persuasion. Rather worryingly I am told she looks a lot like me!

Looks like the site will be on hold for a week or two!
