How did you get into art?
First of all with poetry, then with writings and finally with writings codes featuring into paints, thinks linked to signs producing context and making a whole sense.
How do you get inspiration for the pieces you produce?
From everyday life. Feelings are reflected in every move we make; from reasons making us wake up in the morning, from relations and connections with people sharing projects with me,from music, books, works on the buildings and around the streets, from ideas we have in our mind that needs to be “translated” into visions.
What has been your best creation to date?
I don’t know. I think it is to other people to judge. I personally care more about collective projects rather than personal ones. So I should say “nowar! project”, a visual writings project I realized with Design Radar.
How much do you think hype affects the public perception of what good art is?
Let’s share the question in two: we have art market at one side, with its rules, merchants and critics; at the other side we have the projects of artists, research, realizations, creations, debates. Sometimes these two levels cross themselves. Someone likes it, someone doesn’t like it. Merchants and critics have nothing to do with art. I find it important what Emanuel Carnevali says in “The First God” (1932) talking about Arthur Rimbaud.
Last CD you bought/downloaded/shoplifted?
Beans: “Only” / Beirut: “Gulag orkestar”.
How did you feel when you realised that art could make you some money?
I usually feel happy because that means I’ll be able to pay the rent for that month. I am generally more happy about the fact people are interested in my work than about money I get.
Why do so many people spend money on music yet so few buy art?
I prefer to not.
Know any jokes?
I prefer to not.
What makes you happy?
Rebellion(everyday), struggle (even if it lasts for a while), to see my girlfriend being happy, to collaborate with my crew, to see that projects are going on, to finish a work and to start a new one that makes me learn new things.
What makes you sad?
Generally, some people “snobbish” behaviour, the lack of responsibility, projects not being completed, too short time, walking around searching for anything, punctuation marks.
Sex, drugs or rock n roll?
Straight edge.
Last book you read?
“Le oevres completes de Sally Mara” by Raymond Queneau.
Tell us a secret?
I prefer to not.
Quote us your favourite song lyric?
It’s not my favourite song, but it’s a very important one:
Les prisons alimentent une économie parallèle
Où la Lyonnaise des Eaux et Vivendi se la font belle
Tous victimes d'une mascarade organisée
Depuis les épitres de Saint-Paul tout a été manipulé
Le programme 13000 instauré en prison
Rapporte à Sodexho, Eurest et Gepsa des millions
Je sais de quoi je parle, mon rayonnement est circulaire
Et mes rimes prennent tous leurs sens au milieu des "nique ta mère
(Alibi Montana feat Rockin'Squat: "1260 Jours")
What time did you get up?
08 / 08:30 a.m.
Any close encounters with the law?
...
What else do like other than art?
Walk.
Ask yourself (and answer) a question?
I prefer to not.
Any regrets?
No.
Final thoughts?
I mean, how you think you're free
When you act like property?
(KRS-1)
Support the underground!
