How did you get into photography?

The course that i chose at uni had a taster course in each subject - photography, graphics, illustration... - i did photography and i was hooked!

How do you get inspiration for the work you produce?

Quite often when i am sitting on a bus, watching the world carry on around me, and also the students that i work with; a fresh, un-cynical mind/eye is so much more inspring than some of those artists out there that tend to be up their own arses.

What has been your best work to date?

A self-published book that i produced called 'anotherside'.

How did you feel when you realised that photography could make you some money?

Surprised! No, it felt good to know that i could bring in some money doing what i love to do, although thats not much at the moment, but even if it doesn't bring in anymore i'll be quite happy to carry on producing photographs and working with other photographers.

How much do you think hype affects the public perception of what good art is?

I think the 'public' on the whole have quite a good perception of what good art is, 'hype' seems to affect those in the art world more than anyone else, those that, again, are a bit up themselves!! the public can see through the BS most of the time.

Last CD you bought/downloaded/shoplifted?

Jurassic 5.

What is your most prized possesion?

My Mamiya 7.

What makes you happy?

With my neice; rescuing the spider stuck in the bath; standing on top of a hill looking out on the rest of the world.

What makes you sad?

Seeing those people who get too caught up in their own lives to see whats really going on around them.

Sex, drugs or rock n roll?

Sex.

Last book you read?

The Hobbit.

I'm crap at jokes, i can never remember them...

Whats your favourite soup?

My dad's carrot and coriander soup

What else do like other than photography?

Making things, growing things, baking things,

What time did you get up?

About half 4. In the afternoon. eek !

Any regrets?

Not spending more time making mud pies.
