About Underspray
Underspray began with a handful of seeds, each seed was an artist. Every artist that appears on underspray.com nominates the next interviewee. And so the site grows, organically and in an unpredictable way.
Underspray.com is a non-profit venture which is funded by Mr. Burrows a self styled internet playboy, art connoisseur and adrenaline junkie. He hopes you enjoy your stay.

Underspray.com is officially 1 year old! That's right, 12 months have whizzed by since I launched the site last year. I'm very proud to say I've turned an idea into reality and the site continues to grow and gather momentum and support from around the globe and for that I am truly grateful.
Underspray.com is not for profit and came about from my love of art and a desire to find out more about some of my favourite artists and what makes them tick. It's grown from there in unexpected and exciting directions due to the way each artist featured nominates the next interviewee, and so on. Some of the interviews are now 10th generation and are still going strong.
The site now features the work of almost 100 creative people from all over the world, they all have one thing in common with me and hopefully you. A love of art.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to the site by doing interviews, writing articles or leaving comments. Your input is greatly appreciated and the site would be nothing within you.
Finally, special thanks to Petri for the Jonny English interview.
Best wishes to you and yours!
Mr. Burrows.
Next update: I'll try and do something before Xmas, if not, have a great time, see your next year!
Read his interview here and be sure to check his website for details of his upcoming exhibition!
Another fresh dose of your regular artistic goodness delivered intravenously direct from underspray HQ via our expert medical team. The Doctors this update hail from the UK and the USA and once more deliver as much diversity as you need with bags of style to go with it.
Known side effects include broadening of cultural horizons, feelings of admiration and occasional nausea!
Please join the mailing list or RSS feed to be kept fully up to date of all updates.
Mr. Burrows
Next update: Around 2 weeks time.
It seems like such a long time since I did any work on this site, so it's nice to get back into the old routine of getting a site update ready. I thought I had forgotten how to use photoshop, thankfully it's just like riding a bike, you never forget.
I have also invested in a swanky new mailing list system, so if you haven't signed up already, theres a handy little link over there on the left. Everyone should sign up and get a warm glow from the fact that the emails I send you cost me cold hard cash! What better way to deter me from spamming you lovely folk!
Four new visual stylists join the underspray ranks this time around from Australia, the USA and the UK. Once more a deliciously diverse update which is what keeps this so fresh and exciting for me.
Thanks for dropping by, please check out the new stuff and leave a comment.
Mr. Burrows
Next update: 18th November 2007.
Dave the Chimp puts the Transformers movie to shame with his latest video for electro popsters Robots in Disguise...
On a completely unrelated note, I have finished my exams and spent the last two weeks chilling out and building sand castles on a Spanish beach so expect a big update soon!
Mr. Burrows
Next update: 3rd November 2007.
This landed in my inbox earlier courtesy of King Adz and it's too good not to share.
"100proof announce the release of Issue 3 of their urban culture PDF 100proofTRUTH
The only publication that gives real props to those it's due to, still repping all that's good in the world with 145 pages of visual diversity."

Next update: 3rd November 2007.
Exams and holidays conspire against me and i'm unable to commit as much time to underspray as i'd like. Therefore rather than compromise the site i'm temporarily shutting up shop until I can get my professional qualifications out of the way. Then it's back to business as normal so get yourselves on the mailing list to be kept up to date with the freshest updates as soon as they drop.
Au revoir.
Mr. Burrows
Next update: 3rd November 2007.
Another big update and once more 5 new galleries swell the Underspray ranks. Yet again we deliver the ususal mix of quality, diversity and originality in a single easy to swallow pill.
Get the lowdown on who's into cheese and brocolli soup and who had sex in a disused office. And see some art too. From exotic places like Barcelona, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Hackney.
Thanks for dropping by, please have a look around and leave a comment if you like what you see, and don't forget to bookmark us! Thats it for this time around, take care everyone and be nice to each other.
Mr. Burrows. [RIP Molly Burrows 22/03/03-20/07/07, little dog, big heart]
Next update: 12th August 2007.
All back to normal here at Underspray headquarters and with the bulk of our data salvaged the gods must have been smiling upon us. Or something. Anyway, it's back to business and we have a cracking update to share with you this month.
Five new creative types join the Underspray family this time around and once more we have been delighted by the standard of work. Variety is the spice as far as we are concerned and once more we have it by the bucket load. Street art, photomanipulation, recycled materials and clean designs sit side by side in this update. My recent cyber adventures have seen stopovers in the UK, USA, Spain and Singapore I have delved into the artists deepest and darkest thoughts. And asked questions about soup.
Theres also some new writing in the articles section which you really must check out and if anyone would like to contribute please mail me. Finally I have a bucket load of stickers to give away and the first 25 emails I receive get the goods, don't forget to include your postal address.
Thats all for this time, thanks for supporting Underspray.com, please go and check out the next stuff and leave a comment or two.
Mr. Burrows.
Next update: 22nd July 2007.
Well things couldn't really be any worse over here at Underspray HQ, to say we've had a bad week would be a bit of an understatement. It may suprise you to hear that a multinational transglobal corporation like Underspray.com doesn't have an automated backup system to prevent data loss in case of an unexpected event. Such as the complete failure of a hard disk. which contained every single scrap of information relating to this very website.
To cut a long story short, the disk died, I lost everything, I spent a week trying to repair it. Apologies to those of you on the mailing list that got spammed, complete foul up on my part i'm afraid, lack of sleep, stress etc. etc.
Anyway, thankfully its all sorted now, no new interviews this time around but normal service will be resumed next month.
Now go and back up your data!!
Next update: 1st July 2007.
As I sat there, beer in hand, enjoying a King Prawn Jalfrezi I had this nagging feeling that I had forgotten to do something that I was supposed to do today. Quite what it was I wasn't sure, but it was definitely today.
Two hours frantic coding and much Photoshopping later I am proud to bring you the latest update. Northern Ireland, Brazil and the USA are my stopovers this time around and yet again, the quality of the work is inspiring.
The site continues to grow and I love it more than ever, its so satisfying to constantly discover new artists and styles and rummage around in their heads for a while.
There are now over 70 featured artists on the site, I intend to do something special for the 100th interview, and include some of my favourites images and interviews in a 'best of'. I'd like you to get involved too, so please let me know what your favourite bits are so far.
Now, where did I put that naan bread....
Next update: 17th June 2007.
We'll keep you informed about the latest site updates and we promise not to spam you.
